I love kitchen gadgets, so I was thrilled when I got the chance to review the Tuna Squish. Ok, I must admit that I make the the best soggiest tuna sandwiches! Yeah, nothing to be proud of, I know. 🙂 I’ve always had trouble getting the excess water out by merely pushing down on the lid. Plus, I had to wash my hands right after hand pressing. That’s why I was so thrilled with making a decent tuna sandwich with the help of Tuna Squish.
The Tuna Squish let’s you open canned tuna without smelling like one! It’s a handheld can press that drains the liquid, removes and ejects the lid from canned tuna (and other cans) with minimal human contact. Never touch your tuna! – See more at: http://tunasquish.com/#sthash.2iVHZyVF.dpuf
The Tuna Squish is kitchen gadget in the shape of a tuna fish. It’s a simple design that works. The tuna cans fits perfectly in the holding area and the fish tail is a perfectly sized for a firm grip. The top fin on the Tuna Squish is the button to release lid when finished. Even, Kai was amused by the Tuna Squish design.
I placed an opened tuna fish can in the holding area and held it sideways while holding a firm grip on the tale until all the juices stopped draining. I removed the tuna fish can and tried a bit and was amazed that it was free of any excess water. Now, getting rid of the lid was so easy, all i had to do was position the Tuna Squish gadget over the waste bin and push on the top fin and voila, the lid popped right into the waste bin.
I mixed in all the other ingredients like mayo, tomato, and onions for some of the best tasting sandwiches and my melted cheese and tuna fish sandwiches never tasted better! They tasted better because they didn’t have all the excess water. I’ve also tried this with my canned chicken!
